The “El Rey” XXL hammock: a high-end hammock
Colombia is famous for its hammocks. It is one of the countries with the most users in the world. Recognized for its expertise in hammocks, it is in the village of San Jacinto that the most beautiful hammocks are made. Our privileged relationships with one of the best workshops in the country allow us to offer you exceptional hammocks.
Luxury hammocks, like the XXL “El Rey” hammock, can be used both indoors and outdoors. To keep it for many years, we advise you to install it under cover if possible (as in the photos). In this case, always protect it from bad weather and the sun.
This hammock is made of extra fine yarn, a blend of cotton and acrylic. This thread promotes color retention when washed and exposed to sunlight. The weave is very tight, which creates a firm and stable bedding, as well as a very thick canvas. To find out more, discover the steps in making the San Jacinto hammock here

Arturo Uslar Pietri: The hammock, bed and armchair of the Indian and philosophy of life
The Venezuelan writer, poet and intellectual Arturo Uslar Pietri, who also served as Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace of Venezuela, describes the hammock thus: It is the bed and the armchair of the Indian. It comes from the deepest and most remote America. More than an essential object of life, it is a philosophy of life.
The health benefits of using hammocks
When you look at a hammock, you quickly realize that it offers relaxation different from that of a traditional bed. By lying correctly in a hammock (diagonally), we can relieve our back, thus avoiding any twisting, and promote complete relaxation of the body. Neurological researchers have found that the gentle swing of the hammock allows you to fall asleep more quickly compared to a regular bed: The effects of swinging: why we love hammocks so much
